I have spent my whole career in Financial Services. I have worked for a large Credit Union as well as a small National Trust Company. In all that time I worked specifically to achieve my employers goals first and the clients goals second. When I left the Trust Company I had two choices: Go work for a competitor to help them achieve their targets OR go to work for myself and ultimately work directly for my clients. I chose this route because I was tired of saying no. I was tired of having to sell people on things I didn’t think they necessarily needed but someone else (the bank) wanted them to have. This led me to mortgage consulting.
I can now sit down with people and not only help them get a mortgage but formulate a plan for them to make sure they are getting the most from their mortgage. This can be getting a plan to be mortgage free quicker or finding ways to integrate their mortgage into an investment plan. There are more ways to use a mortgage than simply paying it. I also have access to more than 40 lenders. This means I have multiple choices from which to present options that suit your needs.
A good way to look at it is like buying a car. If you went to the automall and asked a Toyota dealer what the best car for you is and chances are it’s going to be a Toyota. Same goes with Ford and BMW too. Now let’s say you had the opportunity to talk to the owner of the automall (assuming they don’t own any dealership). They might take the time to ask you what you want from the car. What do you need it to do? Once they have that information they would tell you which cars fit your criteria and how they differ from each other.
Whether you are buying your first home or whether you are a seasoned buyer I would love to sit down and see if I might be able to help.

At the end of the day I work for you the client. I stopped working for the banks some time ago.
